哈法亞天然氣處理廠(GPP)位于哈法亞油田東側、緊鄰哈法亞CPF-2和油田主電站，廠區占地長700米、寬650米。GPP項目收集哈法亞油田3個中心處理站(CPF-1、CPF-2和CPF-3)的伴生氣和凝液，天然氣設計處理能力為300MMSCFD。站場設計壽命20年，產品主要包括液化石油氣LPG(5000立方米/日)、硫黃(40噸/日)和干氣(227MMSCFD)。GPP項目主要設施包括天然氣脫硫、脫水、脫烴、LPG回收和輕烴穩定、凝液處理、LPG脫硫、LPG儲存和外輸、硫黃回收尾氣處理等，各類天然氣處理技術在GPP項目上都有所應用，因此GPP項目整體技術難度較高。
項目建成后將“消滅”整個油田燃燒的火炬，每年減少近3萬噸二氧化硫排放量，極大地降低廢氣排放對當地環境的影響，實現綠色油田建設目標，徹底解決米桑省電力缺乏問題提供能源保障。項目投產后每年可為下游電站提供22.7億標準立方米商品天然氣，能夠實現50億千瓦小時發電量，滿足當地400萬戶家庭用電需求。施工高峰期將增加近3000多個就業崗位。
