Are you full, yet? No? Good.

EditorNoshNotes Our first full week of Blog Nosh Magazine arrived on your table, fresh and delivered-to-order.  How did it satisfy?  As always, you are the best to answer that question:

  • What is Blog Nosh you ask? Well, consider it a brightly colored, methodically categorized place where you can go to get turned on to great bloggers, people you maybe haven’t found yet. Looking for great writing, but daunted by the vastness of the blogosphere? Have no fear, Blog Nosh is here…go on, try a nibble.  …It is an awesome way for those of us with very little time but a huge appetite for great reading to find new blogs. Finding this guy made my day!    @ the wink
  • …I liked the idea of a magazine style blog to serve as the epicenter of the blogosphere. For one thing, I think there are certain old school fools who think blogging isn’t real writing. Well, Blog Nosh is about to truly prove you wrong.    @ Kelby Carr
  • Blog Nosh is actually a pretty cool new concept. It’s sort of a Reader’s Digest of blog content. And the editors take the time to handpick the posts they include. Perfect for people like me who don’t use a blog reader.    @ Mom O Matic
  • It’s an amazing way to find wonderful posts from blogs you might never find otherwise.    @ mama’s nest

  • [The
Blog Nosh Magazine publisher] thought, “Gee! There is an awful lot of
good content being shoved out of the limelight by newer posts. Golly,
I’d sure like to read something good, even if it was old. I wonder if
anyone else would like to read something like that?”    @ A Smeddling Kiss

  • Blog Nosh Magazine picks up quality old posts, dusts them off,
and sets them running again. It’s kind of like a “round-up” site,
except they republish the entire original post, including any changes
or updates the author wants to add. There are lots of editors, and lots
of “channel” topics, so it’s a one-stop shop for quality writing from
bloggers you may not have found on your own.    @ Three Bright Stars (be sure to read briar’s great comment)
  • What is Blog Nosh Magazine?
It’s a buzz-worthy new ezine that features the best archived posts that
may have fallen off the front page of your blogs, but that you would
love for the world to get another chance to see.    @ Thursday Drive
  • …a
place where you can find lots of yummy posts to read, chosen by lots of
yummy editors. Find a post you like? (all of them?) Then head on over
to the blogger’s site and read some more.    @ Catnip and Coffee
  • A
selection of channel editors are constantly trawling the blogosphere
for top quality content to be added to the magazine. It’s designed to
help bloggers find new audiences for their blogs by republishing
archived posts to be read by a collection of readers they may never
have come across otherwise.    @ Lightenings Blogworld
  • Ques es Blog Nosh? Dios Mio! Haven’t you heard?! Its
just the coolest new online mag that features YOUR posts! Yes, that’s
right, it is dedicated to promoting the BEST archived posts from your
personal blogs.  Ya know, all that juicy stuff you wrote about before
you actually had readers!    @ Fitarella
  • I REALLY love this idea! I know we all have some great posts
that we would hate “see go to waste.” I was actually thinking it might
be useful when you have several posts each day. I sometimes feel like
if I post too many that I don’t get a chance to have a good
conversation on any of them. Do any of you experts feel this is a
problem?    comment by Cynthia from Healthy Hollywood on Fitarella
  • In the channels of Blog Nosh, you’ll find writing that’s
eloquent, hilarious, informative, heart-warming, and provocative from
people whose interests mesh with yours and whose perspective you’ll be
glad to read.  …Blog Nosh republishes the very best of your archived
posts, selectively providing a mix of styles and topics.  …And
whether or not you want to see your work republished in Blog Nosh Magazine,
I hope you’ll check it out. It’s fun, thoughtful, smart, timely,
entertaining. In short, it’s the perfect little nibble to go with your
morning coffee. * nom nom nom nom *    @ Mommy’s Martini (seriously, one of the best explanations of what we do here at Blog Nosh Magazine, go read it!  And her!)

  • Wow, what a very cool idea. This very well might be the best new thing online.    comment by OHmommy from Classy Chaos @ Mommy’s Martini
  • What an awesome idea. Anything that furthers great writing (and reading!) is a good thing.    comment by auds at barking mad @ Mommy’s Martini
  • I love that the focus is on fab writing, no matter when it was posted.    comment by World’s Greatest Mommy @ Mommy’s Martini
  • Also?
Very glad the site name doesn’t include the word HER, which has been
done. This already feels so much more inclusive.    comment by foolery @ Mommy’s Martini
  • It’s
a brand new emag with a twist! It’s hook it that it showcases those
excellent blog posts that have fallen off the “front page” of your
blogs. There are lots of topics called “Channels” to chose from. The
posts will be chosen by Channel Editors, or nominated by the readers or
even submitted by us! It is the reincarnation of TopBlogMag (which I
wrote for in the past) and I think it’s brilliant!!!    @ Sunny with a Chance of Clouds
  • The concept is novel, and for bloggers, a dream:  it’s not
about you writing new material for publication; instead, it’s designed
to breathe new life into your favorite–your bestarchived
posts. You know that post you poured heart and soul into?  The one that
no one seemed to see?  Now’s your chance to extend it to a broader
    audience.    @ Pensieve
  • Imagine
picking up a magazine filled with a great collection of articles from a
wide variety of topics like art, politics, design, education, business,
tech, and more. That’s what BlogNosh offers - high quality blog articles which have fallen off the front pages of blogs but are still worthy of your valuable time.

Let’s say that you began reading your favorite blog in March. Did you go back and read all the posts starting from day one? If not, you missed that great post from last October. BlogNosh finds
those articles that fall into the archive heap and brings them to you,
so you get the best of the blogosphere, conveniently arranged by topic
(or “channel”). So you can just nosh on what you like.  Delicious content, fresh voices, compiled for you in one place.    @ Soapbox Mom

Okay, that was totally self-serving (then again, we are
a blog buffet), but we so appreciate all of your support and what
better way to thank you than links!  So you–  yeah, you–  click on
those links and check out those Patriotic Conceptbloggers that took the time to write about Blog Nosh Magazine or comment on the buzz.

In
the meantime, be sure to browse all of the bloggers we featured during
our launch.  Given the holiday weekend here in the United States, we
are holding off on new posts until Monday so as not to
short-change your work over a holiday.

For instance, did you catch Tribal Art for Kids by Pepper Paints?  A brilliantly gorgeous post about a simple day of finger-painting turned tribal-art-study.

How
about the photo journey of what it looks like when a single woman finds
in herself the one she’s been looking for all along?  It was a riot
delivered directly from Mommy Pie in her post ‘Til Death Do I Part.

And, finally, I can’t forget to menton Dear Spencer, Xbox4NappyRash’s pep-talk to his sperm as it is finally “game on”: time to make a baby!

In
7 days, we covered topics from Art & Design to Religion, touching
on Family, Politics, Entertainment, and a little bit of everything
delectable in between.  The best comments we received?  Those that
shared the sentiment that you, as readers, were discovering blogs and
entire genres that you never would have found otherwise.

Keep noshing (did you notice we added a “Browse” page
that will allow you to cherry-pick from all of our cross-referenced
categories, eventually pulling tags that link post topics across
multiple channels?  ooh, and do you have a Blog Nosh button for your blog, yet?) and thank you again for making the launch of Blog Nosh Magazine a success!

  1. Congrats on all of the success!

I must say tough that you’ve doubled my reading time. I love the intros to new bloggers-my husband says he’s now a BlogWidow!

  2. I’m so glad to have found Blog Nosh …. via Mom-O-Matic. it will save me lots of time blog surfing that’s for sure. You do the reading and surfing and present up a buffet of worthy reads. (I still can’t believe I wasted 10 min. of my life reading a full-monty account of someone’s labor and delivery. What was I thinking??)

Question. Can we forward terrific finds for you to feature?

Good luck with your new venture.

    - Suzanne, the Farmer’s Wife

  3. I just have to say how genius this is. I found it through another blogger and so glad I did! Awesome idea and I’ll be back daily for sure!

  6. Steph, you have no idea how much weight I gained while setting up this site. No will power.

So glad ya’ll are enjoying the site and, more importantly, finding new blogs to read! I hate to think that we are creating Blog Widows, though ( ;> ), but rather reducing your random blog surfing and wading through fluff, as we deliver the best blogs straight to you. And then you go read those blogs for more, right?

And yes! Of course you can send stuff our way to feature!!! That’s the whole point! Send us your stuff, send us your friends’ stuff, send us strangers’ stuff. We’ll take it from there, you just send us the links!

Actually, our editors are cringing… check out our FAQ and send us the links with some helpful details listed and then we’ll take it from there!

    Now keep noshing!

  7. How did I miss this site before? Wheee! This is fun!

And welcome to Alltop! *waves from weddings.alltop.com *
